Depending on how you use the app, this may include profile information, training preferences, workout history, saved programs, substitution preferences, nutrition-related preferences, body metrics, and weekly check-in responses.
GainsAI also processes analytics-related usage data to understand how features are used, identify problems, improve app stability, and support future development decisions.
Authentication and Technical Identification
The application uses Firebase Authentication, including anonymous authentication, together with technical identifiers needed to secure requests and associate app data with your app instance.
This can include a Firebase user identifier, app-generated device identifier, authentication token, and security verification tokens.
AI Features
GainsAI includes AI-assisted features such as training plan generation, recommendations, and meal plan related functionality. When you use these features, relevant inputs may be transmitted to a secure backend service for processing.
These inputs may include information such as your goal, experience level, training frequency, training preferences, nutrition preferences, meal-plan preferences, and other text or structured inputs you submit in the app.
AI-generated outputs are used to provide the requested in-app functionality and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Health and Fitness Data
GainsAI is a health and fitness related application. Depending on your usage, the app may process body metrics, workout performance data, nutrition-related preferences, weekly self-reported training/recovery inputs, and related progress data.
This data is processed to provide core app features such as plan generation, workout tracking, progress analytics, recommendations, body metrics views, and weekly check-in summaries.
Analytics
GainsAI uses Firebase Analytics to collect app usage analytics. This may include information about app screens viewed, feature usage, interactions with training and meal-planning flows, update-related events, and other analytics events designed to help improve the app.
Analytics data is used to understand usage patterns, improve product quality, support future development, and help identify usability and stability issues. GainsAI does not use Firebase Analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Analytics implementation is designed to avoid logging unnecessary sensitive free-text content. Where possible, analytics events use bounded technical values such as feature names, result states, or high-level app flow information.
Security & Anti-Abuse
To protect the service and prevent abuse, GainsAI may process technical security data such as:
- Firebase App Check token to verify that requests come from a legitimate app instance.
- Google Play Integrity token + nonce to help identify tampered or untrusted environments.
- Authentication tokens and request identifiers to authorize and trace requests securely.
- Technical identifiers, request counters, and timestamps for service protection and rate limiting.
These checks are used for security, integrity, and abuse prevention purposes only.
In-App Updates
GainsAI may use Google Play In-App Updates to help deliver app updates through Google Play. At this time, GainsAI may use the flexible update flow, which allows an update to download in the background while the app remains usable.
When this feature is used, update-related status information may be processed to check whether an update is available, whether a download has completed, and whether the app is ready to restart to finish installation.
This functionality is used to improve update delivery and user experience. The update process itself is handled through Google Play.
Google Drive Backup & Restore
GainsAI may offer optional Google Drive backup and restore functionality. When enabled by you, selected app data may be stored in your Google Drive app data area for backup purposes.
This feature is optional and used only when you choose to sign in and use backup/restore.
Health Connect
GainsAI may support optional Health Connect integration, for example for weight-related data where supported by the device and user permissions.
Health Connect access is optional and only used when you explicitly grant permission.
Third-Party Services
The application may rely on third-party services such as Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics, Firebase App Check, Google Play Integrity, Google Play In-App Updates / Play Core libraries, Google Drive APIs, optional Health Connect APIs, and AI service providers used through the backend.
Data Retention
Data may be retained as long as necessary to provide app functionality, maintain your training history and related features, protect the service, and support optional backup/restore behavior.
Limited technical logs, analytics-related metadata, rate-limit records, and security-related metadata may also be processed for product improvement, diagnostics, and service protection purposes.
